Eris militaris (Bev Wigney [May 11, 2007])Female spider found on poplar tree carrying an insect larva (see photo). This spider was found about 15 meters from the location where a male and female of this species were found in late April and early May. A second female was seen approximately 4 meters from this location on May 3, 2007, also on a poplar tree in the woodlot. A nice little photo but might this be Eris flava, not E.militaris?  Seems like a nice white line under the eyes.  I have no experience with these and only going by the illustration on this web page.
