Profile:

My interests are in all living things, but since having a terrible fear of spiders I realized I needed to famialize myself with them to help abate an unreasonable fear. I am a senior citizen, gad I hate to admit that, and for 40 years as an adult I have observed closely that habits of life and especially spider being forunate or unfortunate to have lived my many, and my favorite is the daddy long legs spider, I know his Latin name but know I would spell it incorrectly here. I also have had many huntman spiders, and after getting over my terror and disbelief at their size, and after having them in my house, I would capture them, feed them, and then release them. It''s amazing what some spiders will eat. If I told you, I would be considered unfit for and scientific observation because scrambled egg and apples and not on their list, but I have never had a spider touch a hot dog, they are far too wise. The univerisity I attended was living with a myriad of creatures that others would reject. Life in general fascinates me, and although I have a tendency to anthromophize, sorry about the spelling, animals, I have realized that what grows from the nub of our brainstems is all the same, we human having the ability to elaborate on our "animal" brains therefore leading us into  more trouble than any other species. I have lived with cottontail rabbits, raccoons, and have had the strange experience of garter snakes in the house due to the innepetitude of the previous owner leaving a hole in the basement wall after moving a gasline. Not to mention my wolfdog, Boofy and numerous dogs and cats, and an errant mouse or two due to missing dryer vent cover and a couple of outdoor cats. I saved most of them. I keep my house full of as many daddy long leg spiders as I can as they keep me free of the spiders I fear. So this is one spider I love dearly and have seen so many of their adventures. No, I have no degrees on my walls and have read few technical book on arachnids, but my interest and obsevation skills are intense. Thank you.
